It’s hard to imagine life without the Internet.
At work or at play, at home or on the road, the Internet touches all of us. Whether you use it to do business, access government services, do your banking online or simply keep in touch with friends, it’s part of our daily lives. But there are some people who use the Internet for more sinister purposes: spies who want to steal sensitive information; terrorists who want to spread their extremist messages; international criminals who want to coordinate their illegal activities.
Stopping them is what we do for a living.
Cyber operations are a critical and expanding element of DSD’s dual mission to provide the Australian Government with foreign intelligence and protect our networks. It is exciting and demanding work in a unique and rapidly changing environment, and we need people with the passion and expertise to meet these challenges.
We’re looking to employ talented people at the APS4-6 level ($52K-$72K plus 15.4% superannuation) to work in the following areas:
We value contemporary experience. Tertiary qualifications, ideally in software engineering, systems engineering, and computer science or information technology are also highly desirable. Due to the classified nature of our work you will need to have Australian Citizenship and 10 years of checkable background.
We think you’ll love it. We do.
