Viewing PDFs

To view .pdf files located on Internet web sites, you may need to configure your browser appropriately. For example, if ActiveX is disabled, Internet Explorer will not display .pdf files inside the browser. If this is the case, you should configure Internet Explorer to call Acrobat Viewer as a helper application. Procedures for configuring web browsers for viewing .pdf files are documented on the following web page:

Alternatively, you can choose not to view the .pdf file in your browser by saving it to your hard drive or floppy disk. This can be accomplished by following the procedures for the respective browsers listed below.

Netscape:

By right mouse clicking on a link to a .pdf file in Netscape you will be presented with a list of options. To save the .pdf file you need to to select "Save Link As..". A window will then open enabling you to save the .pdf file on your desktop or floppy disk. Then, provided you have a .pdf file reader, you will then be able to open the .pdf file by double clicking on it.

Explorer:

By right mouse clicking on a link to a .pdf file in Explorer you will be presented with a list of options. To save the .pdf file you need to to select "Save Target As..". A window will then open enabling you to save the .pdf file on your desktop or floppy disk. Then, provided you have a .pdf file reader, you will then be able to open the .pdf file by double clicking on it.

In Explorer, you also have the option of right mouse clicking on a link and selecting "Print Target". You will then be asked to select a printer, so that you can print the .pdf file without viewing it.
