The Altitude @ DSD graduate program offers an entry pathway to recent graduates and those with post graduate or specialist industry experience.
Candidates in the graduate program undertake a rotation based development and training regime designed to kick off an amazing and diverse career. The program is designed to offer high achievers an opportunity to gain a breadth of organisational exposure comprising three work rotations over a period of twelve months. During this time candidates will acquire a diverse range of skills fundamental in building the foundations for a career in a chosen field, while also building professional and social networks across DSD, the Australian Intelligence Community as well as wider Defence.
The Altitude @ DSD graduate program is seeking
graduates with strong academic records in a diverse range
of disciplines to commence the program via one of three
career entry pathways, including;
An Analyst at DSD will undertake sophisticated analysis, producing vital
intelligence and security information for the Australian Government undertaking
such activities as analysis of foreign signals, intelligence reporting,
communications analysis, foreign language translation or by solving cryptological
problems using advanced mathematical concepts. Find

A Technologist at DSD will use specialist skills to make a vital contribution
to the security of Australia. Our technologists (‘techies’)
find the work both interesting and challenging as DSD incorporates some
of the most powerful leading edge technologies in a dynamic environment
to support its objectives. With this type of invigorating and highly technical
environment, it is no wonder our techies love what they do and will usually
work in one of the following areas – capability design and development;
information and network security; or capability assurance and support.

A Business professional at DSD plays a critical role in supporting the internal infrastructure of one of the largest Commonwealth organisations within the Australian Intelligence Community. Candidates in our Business pathway have the opportunity to deliver strategic and operational support across the organisation, undertaking roles in human resources, training, financial management, marketing, public relations and integral support to government via corporate policy, communications and governance activities.
