Duty Statement
Under supervision as to the method of approach
and requirements, undertake the following:
- Perform engineering work requiring individual
judgement and initiative in the application
of engineering techniques and methods
- Participate in the preparation of standards,
briefs, procedures and designs for systems
and equipment.
- Participate in engineering studies and
evaluation of systems and equipment designs
and novel concepts.
- Undertake programming and / or elements
of systems analysis design.
- Install and configure computer systems
and networks and provide specialist technical
advice.
- Monitor performance, investigate and remedy
failures in computer and software systems
and networks.
- Analyse, develop and implement ICT security
measures.
- Participate in the management and development
of ICT systems.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT / KNOWLEDGE IN A DISCIPLINE
RELEVANT TO THE ROLE
Mandatory:
- Employment with DSD is subject to satisfying
the requirements of an Organisational
Suitability Assessment (OSA) and a Top
Secret (Positive Vet) security clearance.
All applicants must be Australian Citizens
and must be able to account for their personal
background for the past 10 years.
- A degree or diploma from an Australian
tertiary institution, or a comparable overseas
qualification, which in the opinion of the
Secretary, is appropriate to the duties or
